Why we're here...
Well let's get going. This blog is designed for the intermediate to advanced photographer who is interested in an exchange of ideas (by the way beginners will learn from it also). While any subject is welcome, let's not get bogged (or is it blogged) down with discussions of the latest gadget. While it is nice to know the new Nikon 8,000,000,000,000,000,000,000mm f 1.2 can do macro work on Uranus (sorry couldn't resist), I want to know why you do this! Also I am interested in those who enjoy alternative processes. Yes, digital is welcome here. I AM NOT AFRAID!
It's a new Dawn
I bought my first camera in 1983 after seeing an Ansel Adams' exhibit. I shot color until 1994, when I took a black and white class at the College Of San Mateo. B & W was always my favorite but after learning the process I became hooked. I received my AA in Photography and began exhibiting in 1996. I currently use a Toyo 4x5 (the finest in 1800's technology).
I am not afraid of computers or digital cameras. They are tools (much like some who use them:). It is up to the individual to produce the goods!
